Centre culturel Ambille

Inaugurated at the end of August 2025, the Ambille Cultural Center features a media library with books, magazines, CDs and DVDs, as well as an exhibition room devoted to the works of Paul Ambille (in conjunction with the Taylor Foundation), several music rooms for EMIHB students, and an auditorium for screenings and events.

A painter and lithographer, the artist was awarded the Grand Prix de Rome for painting in 1955 and was a resident of the Villa Médicis for 4 years. He was also appointed official Painter of the Navy in 1993 and an honorary citizen of the town of Arette, whose church he adorned with stained glass windows of his own design after the earthquake of August 1967.
