The property is in Monein, a village whose church - St. Girons - houses a framework which is unique in France; it has the shape of a double hulled upturned ship. The gîte is in the middle of the forest, a few kilometers from the village centre.
Guests arrive at this former dairy farm having crossed the Laring wood. It is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the natural world that surrounds the property and the woods are full of deer and other wildlife. Families will enjoy the numerous hiking trails that cross the woods and provide amazing views of the Pyrenees. After a long hike, aching muscles can be relieved with a dip in the heated pool which overlooks the countryside. Take the opportunity to discover the Jurançon vineyards and estates along with the ‘Hospitalier de Lacommande’ a stop off point for pilgrims dating from the 12th century.
