VTTAE N°13 - Chemins du gave d'Aspe
The Bedous plain has a fairly wide flat-bottomed profile, well suited for a mountain bike ride accessible to all. Pedalling along comfortable country trails through flowery meadows is a pleasure. Added to this is the discovery of the towns and hamlets of the plain, with a remarkable built heritage.
In the middle of the Aspe Valley, the Bedous Plain has a fairly wide flat-bottomed profile, shaped in the past by the planes of the great Quaternary glaciers, which later descended near Oloron. Today it remains an open and bright place, where several villages with traditional architecture enjoy the sweetness of life among the mountains. This mountain bike ride favours the discovery of the built heritage and remains accessible for those who want to put difficulties aside. Feel free to take a few detours here and there to discover traditional houses, barns and other laundry rooms. Along the way, you will stroll south along comfortable country lanes, among flowery meadows and flocks of sheep. What a pleasure, even if your bike battery initially shows only 25% of its capacity!
