VTT N°10 Aspe - Le Tour de Soudious
A beautiful trail starting from Bedous station, following the path of Saint Jacques and the shepherds' paths. You'll discover the Jouers chapel and Land 'art installations along the way (giant fish, migratory birds, etc.).
The Tour de Soudious is a loop circuit that allows you to follow the Chemin de Compostelle (Voie d'Arles) on the outward journey. The route takes you through meadows to the hamlet of Accous "Jouers", home to a Romanesque chapel whose exterior carvings on the chevet (12th century) are a must-see. The architecture of traditional mountain villages will not escape you. Also on the trail: Land 'art installations (Giant fish, migratory birds, etc.) created during the Festival des Phonies bergères. The return journey takes you along a pastoral path, like a balcony overlooking the Bedous valley. Occasionally, we come across roe deer on their way to the nearby woods. From the Soudious barn, you descend into a fern grove, at the heart of a pastoral ecosystem. And don't forget to meet the shepherds who may share a piece of the trail with you.
