Voie verte - Sur la route de la résidence d’été des évêques d’Oloron

A short bike ride for all seasons. The route is flat and easy, and part of it is guaranteed car-free (from the Oloron exit to the Moumour entrance). This bike ride takes you to the village of Moumour, once the summer residence of the bishops of Oloron. Oloron is no longer a bishopric, but its superb cathedral is an essential part of the heritage of the Béarn Pyrenees, and has been classified by UNESCO as part of the Chemins de Saint Jacques.

On the way back, we cycle facing the Pyrenees. The pyramid-shaped Pic d'Anie (2500m) is easy to spot. A refreshing stop at the Saint Pé course on the banks of the Vert completes this outing in the fresh air.
