The climbs are as steep as the landscapes, and the whole route requires a good level of fitness!

How to get there

From Bayonne, leave the A64 at exit 9 and cross Artix on the D817 towards Orthez. Head for Mourenx on the D281. In Mourenx, take the D33 towards Monein. At the roundabout, turn right onto the D2 to Monein.
From Pau, follow the D2 bypass and after the Artiguelouve golf course, at the roundabout, head for Mourenx. After Abos, turn left, still on the D2, towards Monein. The Tourist Office is on the main street, 58 rue du Commerce.
