Sainte-Marie de Castagnède

Bonnut is very extensive: grouping of the parishes of Saint-Martin and Sainte-Marie de Castagnède. Its border position is visible on the ground by the traces of fortifications (Tarruc de Montargon, Castéra). Bonnut was not part of Béarn under Gaston Fébus, it is a vote of 1855 which definitively attached it to the Basses-Pyrénées.
