N°92 - Le Cambeillou

With its houses featuring red shutters, discoid steles in its cemetery, and place names resonating with Basque heritage, Esquiule is a Basque village in Bearn. From here begins a beautiful hike that leads to the summit of Cambeillou, where the panoramic view opens the doors to the Basque Country.

How to get there

From Oloron Sainte-Marie, take the Saragosse bypass, then follow signs for Esquiule (RD24). Once in the village, cross the main street, turn left at the end and left again at the stop sign. Drive a few meters to park near the sign indicating the start of the hike.
