N°45 Chemin de Mâture d'Issaux

Issaux Forest is a typically Pyrenean beech and fir forest. Getting into its heart is a fascinating experience as an almost mystical atmosphere reigns over it! The terrain is mainly a wide rocky path with some steep sections.

How to get there

From Oloron, follow signs for Spain (Huesca-Zaragoza) on the N134. After Asasp, at the power station, turn right towards Issor (D 918). After Issor, turn left towards Lourdios-Ichère (D 241). Cross Lourdios-Ichère and continue towards Pierre-Saint-Martin. After a few hairpin bends, at the Arpet bridge, turn right towards La Pierre and the Col de Labays. Park at the Totem or 50 m further on.
