Le tour de Gatarre

Like a natural rampart, the mountain of Handiaga directly dominates the village of Estérençuby and protects it in winter from the cool winds coming from the north. During the summer season, these ridges are a great opportunity for panoramic hiking between the Garazi valley and the upper Nive valley.

In the summertime, these ridges are a great opportunity for a panoramic hike between the Garazi valley and the upper Nive valley. The viewpoints are remarkable in all directions and the walk is enhanced by unusual rocks and other monoliths of pudding. But also the discovery of the dolmen of Buluntza, proving that these paths are trodden by the pastor man since the dawn of time.
