How to get there

From Oloron Sainte-Marie, head for Bayonne on the D836. About 20 km further on, turn right towards Navarrenx, which you reach very quickly. After the bridge, park at the rest area on the banks of the river Gave. The walk begins on the bridge, but for those unfamiliar with Navarrenx, a detour to this bastioned town - the first in France - is a must!
