The view from the Place Royale in Lescar is a natural incentive to head south, cross the Gave de Pau valley and get closer to the imposing Pyrenean mountain range. The itinerary therefore leaves the town of Pau and crosses the hills of the Jurançon region, finding a secular stopover at Lacommande, before joining the Aspe valley on the side of Oloron-Sainte-Marie.
