Circuit des palombières / Usategietako itzulia
Between the peaks of Ibanteli and Atxuria, the Palombières circuit, of which you will admire some curious examples, will take you to mysterious and splendid beech forests, with their carefully covered ground of dead leaves, before taking you to wander on the panoramic ridges.
Close to the Rhune, surrounded by the elegant pyramid-shaped peaks of Ibanteli and Atxuria, the Palombières trail (of which you can admire some curious examples) will lead you to discover mysterious and splendid beech groves, with their beds carefully covered with dead leaves. On leaving the forest, the route wanders over wide grassy ridges or those half-covered with ferns. Carefully skirting the border, letting your gaze wander between France and Spain, you will reach the Lizarrieta pass before crossing the clear slopes of the Ibanteli. After a last look at the imposing Rhune mountain, it will be time to plunge back into the woods to find the babbling of the clear waters of the streams.
