Bidache, péd'halage en val de Bidouze

The paved path is ideal for walking or riding two-wheeled vehicles and for observing passerines, egrets, herons, and also storks, which are fond of the Bidouze valley barrens.

The Bidouze River, a tributary of the Adour River, is now a guide for the connection between the municipalities of Bidache and Guiche. Small ports with paved holds keep the memory of the once flourishing river trade, and a bucolic towpath draws curves in symbiosis with the meanders of this dammed river. The paved path is ideal for walking or riding two-wheeled vehicles and for observing passerines, egrets, herons, and also storks which are fond of the Bidouze valley barthes. You will appreciate the vestiges of the castles, but also, by an escapade on the hills, the atypical dovecote of the center of the village or the viewpoint of Miramont. Before returning, you can even take a refreshing dip in the Arroques lake.
