Gîte d'étape Izarrak

Amélia and Alain welcome you to their gîte in the heart of the Basque Country. The building is an old renovated farmhouse. The gîte "Izarrak" (stars in Basque) is located 19 km from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, 800 m after the village of Ostabat, at the crossroads of the main routes to Santiago de Compostela. The route passes right in front of our house. Our gîte offers a breathtaking view of the first peaks of the Basque Pyrenees. Whether you're a Santiago de Compostela pilgrim, hiker, cyclist, horse rider or holidaymaker discovering the inner Basque country, you'll find conviviality, rest, traditional cuisine and lively evenings in a magical setting. We have 6 rooms and a dormitory (no bunk beds). Swimming pool access for all. Half-board reservations available.
