📍 Lées-Athas
Forêt d'Issaux
Above the village of Lees-Athas, the forest of Issaux is accessible by the road of the Col de Bouésou. It is through this passage that a network of logging roads was opened twenty years before the French Revolution, ordered by the Royal Navy. It was in the upper part of the Issaux Forest that the famous fir trees were extracted which would be used to dock ships.
