Cascade du Gros Hêtre

On the road to Gourette, the sound of water may interest some passersby. The cascade of “Gros Hêtre” at the end of the promenade of Iscoo is a place imbued with freshness. From a height of about ten meters, its cold waters plunge noisily into the groove of Valentin. It is an ideal place to rest and recharge. Approach Time 2 min. History: In 1845, Paul Huet stayed in the Ossau Valley, he went to the Eaux-Bonnes with his friend Eugene Delacroix and makes a watercolor that is named "cascade du Gros Hêtre".
