Bosmendieta

Bosmendieta overlooks the village of Lacarry and basse Soule on one side, and the small village of Larrau, nestled in the heart of Haute Soule, on the other. It is one of five small, long mountains at an altitude of 996 meters.

Accessible by car and/or on foot, it's the ideal place to enjoy the valley's peaks. An orientation table helps you get your bearings. It's easy to imagine protohistoric shepherds on the paths overlooking the various valleys, as evidenced by the mounds found here and there, eminences of earth covering a burial site.
