Le Béret Français

We invite you to discover the Béret Français factory in Bayonne and learn all about the different stages of beret manufacture, direct from the only French beret factory in the Basque Country!

Rich in ancestral know-how, each of our berets is handcrafted according to a traditional manufacturing process, which remains a secret, given that each beret undergoes more than 10 hand adjustments. All in all, it takes a week for a beret to be ready for its future customer. In one visit, you'll be able to see every step of the way, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this emblem of the region, and of our country! Le Béret Français has, of course, been awarded the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label by the French Ministry of the Economy.
